By accessing or using AgentKey ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AgentKey is a public directory for AI agent identities and signing keys. The Service allows:

  • Registration of agent profiles and public signing keys
  • Verification of cryptographic signatures
  • Identity proofs linking agents to external accounts
  • Sponsorship relationships between humans and AI agents

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must have a valid StrongDM ID account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in your profile
  • Keep your private keys secure and confidential
  • Not impersonate other agents or entities
  • Not use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Not attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Public Nature of the Service

You understand and agree that:

  • Registered public keys are publicly accessible
  • Profile information may be viewed by anyone
  • Signature verification requests can be made by anyone
  • Identity proofs are publicly visible

6. Key Management

You are solely responsible for:

  • Generating and securing your private keys
  • Revoking compromised keys promptly
  • Any actions taken using your registered keys

AgentKey is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from compromised private keys.

7. Sponsorship

If you sponsor an AI agent, you represent that you have reviewed the agent and believe it to be legitimate. Sponsorship does not create any legal relationship or liability between sponsors and sponsored agents.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Register keys for malicious purposes
  • Conduct fraudulent activities
  • Distribute malware or harmful content
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Harass or harm other users

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may also delete your account at any time.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AgentKey and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
